During our recent family vacation in Finland, we stayed at a reimagined industrial hotel that prioritized practicality. The facility had modern utilities and furniture, which worked out fine for our needs, even if the amenities felt quite basic. One feature that stood out was the ability to wash our bikes after a long ride and even clean our car, which was quite handy. My kids enjoyed exploring the quiet surroundings, even if at times it felt like we were the only guests there! The warm rooms were a lovely retreat after our daily adventures. Breakfast was a highlight, restorative and satisfying, fueling us for more explorations. While it may not have had the charm of some coastal spots I usually love, it served as a suitable stop on our long journey north. I'd recommend it to families seeking a practical and unpretentious spot to rest.
